Main Information
ENJOY SOME FANTASTIC RIDING IN TONY’S HOMELAND.
Welcome to our SFIDA Penedes Cycling Paradise.
The Penedes is a wine region in Catalonia that produces great wines, mostly Cava. One of the main reasons to organise a cycling trip here is that there are numerous options for fantastic rides.
During our time in the Penedes, we will ride through a variety of landscapes, with some climbs, quiet and narrow roads (camins rurals), and always with the vineyards close by.
For the duration of our time here, we will stay at the same accommodation, which makes it easy for our logistics and less tiring for our clients.
We will have time to visit a winery or two and enjoy some great local food.
This is a great opportunity to enjoy the usual SFIDA Cycling first-class support and organisation.

CANCELLATION POLICY:
Adapting to the changes in international travel after the COVID-19 pandemic, we are adjusting our cancellation policy accordingly as follows:
120 days before the trip starts – the return of your deposit minus any expenses that we may not be able to reimburse.
90 days before the trip starts – partial refund of the amount of the trip less the 500 Euros cancellation fee, plus any amount that we can’t recover from Hotels, and other costs that we may have already incurred in the trip preparation.
No amount will be refunded less than 60 days before the trip starts. We will, however, try to credit as much as possible towards a future trip. This depends on the amount that we can get back from the hotels and other costs that we have already incurred in the trip preparation.
We highly recommend contracting travel insurance as soon as you pay the deposit and buy your international flights.
Make sure your travel insurance covers:
- Refund the amounts paid if you need to cancel for any reason.
- Covers the cost of possible damages to your rental bike. Check our T&C for this.
For these reasons, we won’t be holding any spots until the full deposit has been paid.
Hotels are now more strict with how many rooms they are willing to have on hold for groups, so until deposit payments are made, we won’t be able to confirm your spot.

After meeting the SFIDA Cycling team at Barcelona Airport (BCN), we will transfer to our hotel in the heart of the Penedes.

After we summit the Alt de la Llacuna, we will descend to Pontons for lunch.

From Sant Jaume, we will climb up La Talaia, which is a stunning climb with easy gradients and great views.
We will later come back via the other side of La Talaia, but before we have the short and steep climb from La Juncosa de Montmell.
