FOLLOW AND WATCH THE TDF 2025 WITH SFIDA CYCLING
Once again, we are pleased to have another great trip to the TDF 2025 edition.
2025 will mark the 112th edition of the Grande Boucle, and we expect it to be another epic one.
Our trip will cover the last part, which includes three days of TDF Live Viewing at Mount Ventoux, Col de la Loze and La Plagne.
This trip will have a good number of bucket list climbs in the Alps: Alpe d’Huez, Col du Lautaret, Col du Galibier, Col de la Sarenne, Mont Ventoux from Bedoin, Maulacene and Sault, Col de Madeleine, Col de la Loze, La Plagne and Col d’Iseran as the major climbs included in this trip.
Expect some amazing riding during this trip, however, keep in mind that on the TDF Live Viewing days, our philosophy is to limit our riding and optimise the “by the road” experience. This way you can experience the TDF is full, including the spectacular Caravane Publicitaire, which is part of the show!
We have designed the trip using only three hotels during the trip. This makes our logistics simpler, and not having to do big transfers after the TDF Live Viewing days is great.
Don’t hesitate and join us on another amazing SFIDA Cycling trip.

CANCELLATION POLICY:
Adapting to the changes in international change after the COVID-19 pandemic, and incoordination, with most of the hotel’s terms and conditions, we are adjusting our cancellation policy accordingly as follows:
120 days before the trip starts – the return of your deposit minus any expenses that we may not be able to reimburse.
90 days before the trip starts – partial refund of the amount of the trip less the 500 Euros cancellation fee, plus any amount that we can’t recover from Hotels, and other costs that we may have already incurred in the trip preparation.
No amount will be refunded less than 60 days before the trip starts. We will, however, try to credit as much as possible towards a future trip. This depends on the amount that we can get back from the hotels and other costs that we have already incurred in the trip preparation.
We highly recommend to contract travel insurance as soon you pay the deposit and buy your international flights.
Make sure your travel insurance covers:
- Refund of the amounts paid in case you need to cancel for any reason.
- Covers the cost of possible damages to your rental bike. Check our T&C for this.
For these reasons, we won’t be holding any spots until the full deposit has been paid.
Hotels are now more strict with how many rooms they are willing to have on hold for groups, so until deposit payments are made we won’t be able to confirm your spot.
Itinerary
After meeting the SFIDA Cycling trip at Lyon Airport, we will travel to our hotel in Alpe d'Huez.
Upon arrival, we will check in and have lunch and a trip orientation meeting.
Once we have prepared our bikes, we will take our first ride on the trip.
Alpe d'Huez is one of the most famous climbs in cycling. Today, you will have the chance to add this prestigious climb to your list.
46km/1,300m
Climb: Alpe d'Huez
Hotel: Hotel Grandes Rousses
For our second ride, we have planned to take you to the mythic Col du Galibier, an integral part of the TDF, this is one of those climbs where cycling history has been written.
We will start with a descent to La Garde, then turn left and head up to the Route de la Roche, which is one of the most amazing balcony roads you can imagine.
Later on, we will connect with the road up to Col du Lautaret, this is a long climb. From the Lautaret, we will climb up the Col du Galibier.
Once we have conquered this giant climb, we will return to Col du Lautaret and head towards Bourg d'Oisans.
Today's route has the option to go up Alpe d'Huez via Col de la Sarenne. We are offering both options to our clients.
Day 2.1 route Lautaret, Galibier
107km / 2,550m
Day 2.2 route Lautaret, Galibier, Sarenne
115km / 3,450m
Hotel: Hotel Grandes Rousses
Today we will transfer to Provence to watch the TDF at the Mont Ventoux in a couple of days.
Once we arrive in Mazan, our accommodation for the next three nights, we will have lunch and go for a ride.
The ride up the Gorges de la Nesque is one of the most beautiful you can imagine, especially closer to the top.
This is a great way to start our riding in Provence.
68km / 1,200m
Climbs: Gorges de la Nesque, Saint-Hubert
Hotel: Le Jardin de Mazan
With the TDF arriving tomorrow, we think that the best opportunity to have a "good" climb up Mont Ventoux from Bedoin is the day before.
We all have fresh images of the thousands of people watching the race by the side of the road, and every year this is bigger!
For this reason, we have planned to climb the Mont Ventoux today and give the opportunity to climb from Bedoin and Maulacene.
In any case, be sure there will be plenty of ambience up to the top.
105km / 3,200m
Climbs: Mont Ventoux from Bedoin and Maulacene.
Hotel: Le Jardin de Mazan
One of the most exciting of the TDF 2025 will be today.
Not many other stages are as spectacular as the one that finishes at the top of the Mont Ventoux.
Climbed for the first time during the TDF 1951 edition, this mountain has become a magnet for cyclists from around the globe.
Today we plan to access our viewing point from Sault, this is the third side, and this will allow our clients to ride the three sides in two days. We will have a short transfer to Sault early in the morning.
As on any other TDF Live Viewing day on a summit finish, expect a long and intense day, this is the TDF!
69km / 1,735m
Climb: Mont Ventoux from Sault.
Hotel: Le Jardin de Mazan
We are returning to the Alps to see the last two high mountain stages, which could be a defining moment of the TDF.
We will transfer to La Chambre and climb the beautiful Col de la Madeleine, on the same side that the TDF will ride on tomorrow's Queen Stage.
After we descend to Moutiers, we have a short transfer to our hotel in Bourg de Saint Maurice, which is an excellent base to stay for the last four nights of this trip.
55km / 1,885m
Climb: Col de la Madeleine
Hotel: Hotel Base Camp Lodge
Today is our second TDF Live Viewing Day, and it is the Queen Stage of the race!
We will start riding from Bourg Saint Maurice and head towards Moutiers.
In Moutiers, we will join the TDF route to the top of the Col de la Loze, which is the end of the stage.
Col de la Loze is a late addition to the high mountain climbs used at the TDF. It used to be the climb up to the ski station of Courchevel, then they asphalted the gravel path that continued to the 2,300m height. Add some generous sections above 10% and you have the perfect climb to end a tough stage.
Expect another spectacular day in the mountains.
68km / 2,215m
Climb: Col de la Loze
Hotel: Hotel Base Camp Lodge
Last day of TDF Live Viewing, our strategic location in Bourg de Saint Maurice is very convenient to get to La Plagne, end of today's stage.
Hours before the TDF goes through Bourg Saint Maurice, we would have started our ride.
The first part is parallel to the L'Isere River to Macot-la-Plagne, here we will start climbing up to the ski station of La Plagne, which will be the end of the stage.
For the professional riders, this will be a tough day after yesterday's Queen Stage, today they have another huge ride.
We will watch the end of the stage at La Plagne, then it is an easy ride back to our hotel in Bourg de Saint Maurice, as soon we can start riding back!
58km / 1,640m
Climb: La Plagne
Hotel: Hotel Base Camp Lodge
After such an intense couple of days, our last ride for this trip will be much quieter.
However, it will be a very long climb, as the Col d'Iseran is the second-highest paved road in France, reaching close to 2,800m high.
This will be a nice way to end another memorable SFIDA Cycling trip.
97km / 2,270m
Climb: Col d'Iseran
Hotel: Hotel Base Camp Lodge
After breakfast, we will transfer to Lyon Airport (LYS).
We are planning to get there by noon, so plan your flights accordingly.
If you have other travel plans, like taking the TGV train from Lyon, please don't hesitate to check with us.
