CANCELLATION POLICY:
Adapting to the changes in international travel after the COVID-19 pandemic, we are adjusting our cancellation policy accordingly as follows:
120 days before the trip starts – the return of your deposit minus any expenses that we may not be able to get reimbursed.
90 days before the trip starts – partial refund of the amount of the trip less the 400 Euros cancellation fee, plus any amount that we can’t recover from hotels and other costs that we may have already incurred in the trip preparation.
Less than 60 days before the trip starts, no amount will be refunded. We will, however, try to credit as much as possible towards a future trip. This depends on the amount that we can get back from the hotels and other costs that we have already incurred in the trip preparation.
We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance as soon as you pay the deposit and buy your international flights.
Make sure your travel insurance covers:
- Refund of the amounts paid in case you need to cancel for any reason.
- Covers the cost of possible damage to your rental bike. Check our T&C for this.
For these reasons, we won’t be holding any spots until the full deposit has been paid.
Hotels are now more strict with how many rooms they are willing to have on hold for groups, so until deposit payments are made, we won’t be able to confirm your spot.
Itinerary
After picking up at Munich Airport, we will drive to Innsbruck, our first destination.

We will start our ride along the Inn river, for the most part, we will be on a cycle path until we arrive in the Zillertal.
Zillertal is a small region in Tyrol that has some very interesting roads, especially the Zillertaler Hohenstrasse, which is basically what is commonly known as Tony's ambush!

Hotel: Aktiv-hotel Tuxerhof.
Ahead of some big climbing tomorrow, today we chose an "easier" route to Kaprun.
We will climb the long and steady Gerlos Pass, after the summit, we will descend into Wald Im Pingau, the rest of the ride is mostly flat.
Kaprun is a great place to stay for the afternoon, enjoy some apple strudel and get ready for some climbing action.

The massive Grossglockner climb is on the same league as the Stelvio, Agnello, Bonette...We are talking about some of the biggest climbs in Europe.

The ride has another highlight, the Hochtor Pass and its incredible views.
We will descend to Heiligenblut to stay in an amazing location for the night.
58km/2,200m.

The rest of our route to Lainach, end of the ride, is mostly downhill.

Not riding today.
Regarded as one of the most beautiful villages in Europe and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Hallstatt and its surroundings have plenty of places to keep us busy for the day.

Afterwards, we will visit other interesting places in this amazing town.
Hotel: Heritage Hotel Hallstatt.
For our last day, we have plenty to do!
We will leave Hallstatt and ride to Sankt Gilgen, by the Wolfgang lake.
Once there, we will take a boat to St.Wolfgang and take the cog railway up to the Schafberg. This is the steepest train in Austria.
At the top, we will enjoy the magnificent views and do a short walk.
