Our second major ascent is the historic Sankt Ghottard Pass, a route that has been travelled since Roman times. Its famous Tremola section, with 6 km uphill and 3 km downhill on cobbles, is one of the most distinctive and fascinating roads to ride in Switzerland.
We finish the ride in the popular mountain town of Andermatt, where we will stay for the next two nights.

One of the highlights comes at Furka Pass, where we can stop for photos at the iconic Belvedere Hotel—an abandoned landmark that has become one of the region’s most recognisable cycling and photography spots.

From the summit of Lukmanier, we enjoy a long, mostly downhill ride to Bellinzona, the capital of Ticino.
From Bellinzona, we continue to the beautiful lakeside town of Locarno on Lago Maggiore, where we will spend the next two nights.

Near Sankt Moritz, we begin the climbs of Bernina Pass and Forcola Livigno. The final ascent brings us back into Italy.
Livigno, our destination for the day, is a popular year-round mountain resort and a well-known base for professional altitude training camps.
